Knobu keeps everything on your computer

The app
Knobu has no telemetry, no analytics and no account. It makes no network requests. Your settings are stored in ~/.config/knobu/config.toml and the background service writes its logs to your own systemd journal.
Touchpad and keyboard input
Touchpad Gestures and Keyboard Manager read input events on your computer to recognise gestures and remapped keys. These events are handled in memory and are never stored or sent anywhere.
Screen tools
Color Picker and Text Extractor only look at the screen when you press their shortcut. Text recognition runs locally with Tesseract OCR. Picked colors and extracted text go to your clipboard and stay on your computer.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Fonts are served from this site. The download buttons link to GitHub, which serves the file, and the server checks GitHub for the latest version on your behalf.
